Respiratory Therapist Wages & Salary by State

Salary and wages for respiratory therapists are influenced by many factors, the largest being location. This can be easily seen by comparing respiratory therapist salaries and wages from state to state. Similar respiratory therapist positions in different states can offer very different salaries, usually because of factors such as average demand for respiratory therapy services in that state, presence of major cities, average population density and age, and overall economic health.

Other factors outside of location may have to do with the employing organization, as well as the therapist herself. These factors are explained in more detail on the Respiratory Therapist Salary page.
