Respiratory Therapy is a great field to get into. It is estimated by recent labor statistics that within the next six years there is going to be an increase in demand for certified and trained Respiratory Therapists. If you are interested in becoming a Respiratory Therapist you will need at minimum 2 years of schooling in order to receive your Associate’s Degree. You can however choose to get your Bachelor’s Degree and then go on for your Master’s Degree. The higher the degree you have the more of a chance there is for you to advance in your career and make a higher salary. While you are in school you will be expected to take a great deal of science classes. You will also have to take some classes that are more jobs specific in order to deal specifically with cases that will require your services.
